Datsun Heritage Museum Visit

I stopped by the new Datsun Heritage Museum. It just opened on Mr Katayama's birthday 9 12 2008. Its in Murrieta Ca. Fred Jordan VP and Museum was kind enough to give my Family a tour on a Sunday. Normal hours are Saturday only and by appointment.

The Museum founder Fred Jordan. Fred first sold the first Datsun in the USA in 1958 from the first Datsun dealer!

Bluebird. These are 510s in the US. This is a triple SSS version! This was the body style that got me hooked on Nissans. I have always loved Nissan body styles but this one started it all.

The original "Flying Hare logo".

A few SPL311 Roadsters. 1600 and 2000 versions.

Beautiful truck. 4 speed on the tree.

The Actor and Mr K. This actor played Mr K in all the 90's commercials. Enjoy the Ride and Dogs Love trucks, Dream car Garage. Also The infamous 300zx and R50 Pathfinder "Toys" ones.

1936 Phaetom. Note the military tyres. It was built on a Bantam frame back then.

The Museum has a bunch of Nissan awards. I love this 320 truck pot metal award!

This truck was re chromed and painted. Thats all! No dents! They had thicker steel than the Z cars.

1966 Patrol. Super clean inside. 7 seater!

Huge warn hubs.

Patrols are 4wd!

Lots of nice Z cars and 510s. A 1958 210 is being restored for the museum.

The last 300zx ever made! Number 300 of course. Still brand new. 1996 Z32 TT.

Some engines and transmissions are coming soon. A VG35 and a L motor.
