RC Tonka Tow Rig Recovery vehicle with trailer

 This is how I converted the Tonka into a 4wd Tow rig.

My son inherited a 1970s Tonka Truck 10 years ago. But he always wanted it to be RC.

Specifications:

  • Stock Tonka tow truck frame and body 1970s.
  • Tamiya TLT axles
  • Axial AX10 trans and driveshafts
  • Traxxas narrowed 2.2 wheels.
  • HPI tires    
  • Traxxas revo coilover Shocks         
  • Links threaded rod and traxxas link ends.
  • Integy 75 turn brushed motor.
  • Traxxas 4 channel 2.4 Radio and receiver



FSM states 19k ohms at 90 F, I only measured 350 ohms.
