320MM JDM Nismo Steering on a Nissan D21 Hardbody and WD21 Pathfinder

My stock steering wheel was worn. I noticed some cheap alloy ones on EBAY for the 240sx and 300zx. I bought one for $49 shipped aluminum steering wheels WITH adapter for a Maxima/300zx/240sx. They said they dont fit a D21 or WD21. But they do. As far as I can tell ALL Nissan steering wheels are the same spline. Just the signal cancel bumps are in different places.

 The big issue is the turn signal cancellors dont work as good as stock. They are in the wrong place. The bumps that cancel the turn signals are DIFFERENT on some years and models. 94+ pathys are different from 93 and older. To remedy this I recycled the OEM base on the adapter. Just used epoxy and its been working like stock. The expensive momo adapters are just as bad as the cheap ebay ones. 

This is what you get for $49. A horn button with Nismo picture. You can replace with anything you want.

The aluminum adapter and horn ring. I discard the horn ring that comes with the kit. I also replace all the 5mm bolts and replace with new ones from Lowes. I also run a tap through the threads first on the alloy adapter.

92 D21 and 93 WD21. Note the horn connection is a push design. in 94 its a 1/4" connector.

94 WD21. You can use the Nissan wire for the aftermarket horn. But I had to trim a the plastic a little for clearance. I removed the ridge pictured below.

Epoxy base to hub. Make sure the TOP is lined up with base correctly. The TOP is not the correct bolt pattern in my cases.

Done.

I love the feel of this smaller 320mm wheel. It feels allot like the newer Nissans. Like my 04 Quest. The new wheel is much lighter than stock.  Put over 3k miles on one of them so far without any problems. so far done a 92 wd21 a 93 d21 and a 94 wd21. All were a little different.
