Steps to install the lights on the fenders. Need to remove
fender.
-
Unplug turn signals
-
remove frt bumper, 4 bolts
-
remove wipers - 14mm nut under the covers
-
remove cowl vents- bunch of plastic clips (I use black zip
ties)
-
remove cowl, 4 screws
-
Open hood and remove some clips holding cowl on.
-
remove clearance lights - 4 screws
-
remove inner fender liners - i junked these because store
dirt and mud under them.
-
remove fender bolts- some along inner under hood, one bolt
under cowl, 2 bolts inside door, one bolt at door sill, 2 bolts under
bumper, 1 bolt under marker light.

NOW you can remove fender and antenna. I cut the antenna
wire and route a new universal through same hole.
I removed the fender to make it easier to assemble the
light. I drilled a 1/2" hole in the center of the fender, also center of
cowl. On the passenger side the light wants to be where the square hole for
the antenna was. So i made a 2"x3" .120 wall flat stock plate to cover the
hole. I used the plate as a big washer. NO welding was needed. I also
shortened the stock bolt on these cheap Autozone lights. The wire was ran
down the inner fender and through existing holes. I drilled a second hole
for the wires in the fender behind the light.
Finished
Remove fenders, cowl, bumper, marker lights, wipers etc.
I discarded this air box while I had the fender off.
This is the Right side upside down. This is the OEM antenna location.
Installed. New radio antenna location is the big hole.
I had to relocate the radio antenna
due to clearance issues.
The yellow wire is the ground for the light.
Lights work awesome in this location. I can turn them outwards slightly from
inside as needed.
I just installed some lights on My 92 Pathfinder. I found a universal
antenna similar to stock style and was able to get it installed behind the
light.
Here is the switchs I use.
