This is how I installed a brake controller in my
05 Armada, Titan should be the same.
Tools
needed. 8 sockets and screwdriver. No
special tools needed. Solder and shrinkwrap for connections to OEM
pigtail.
These
are the items I removed.
- Solder brake controller to Nissan provided pigtaill
- remove Left lower dash panel. 2 phillips screws. Disconnect
all wire connectors as needed.
- remove 4 bolts with 8mm socket from steel panel under
steering column.
- cut hole in steel panel for controller. I used a cut off
wheel.
- fabricated a custom bracket using oem and some steel.
- drilled a hole in steel panel for mounting.
- Bolt controller to dash panel. I used some old Nissan 8mm
bolt and nut I had. I have lots of old Nissan hardware I save for stuff
like this.
- install dash panel with 4 bolts.
- install plastic panel. Mark for hole.
- remove panel, cut hole.
- install panel.
Hope
this helps. Email if you need more details. Click on the small pix for
