Custom Winch bumper on a Nissan  Frontier D40 -

My buddy already had a nice Calmini tube bumper.  But now wants a winch on the front. So we found tons of room under the skid plate. We added a winch plate, 2 D ring mounts and a removable license plate mount.

Materials used: 

• Calmini Bumper

• 12" wide flat stock 3/16 thick

• 2x2 3/16 wall DOM

Now using some blocks of wood find were you want the winch to be. Mock it into place.

Tacked in place

Added some 3/16 2" wide flat stock as a gusset and a place to connect the skid plate back on. Also added some 2" DOM for D ring mounts.

Cut off a piece of the top and bottom of the original skid. Also added a sleeve for the quick disco license plate.

D rings all done.

Had to add some bracing to top of bumper mount. Bumper flexed while winching.
