Custom Center console for switch locations and 3 cup holders in a Nissan Hardbody D21

Updated 8/13/2009

I need a place to locate inside winch controls, light switchs and cup holders and retain the nice Pathfinder style arm rest. This pic is a 94 Pathy upper piece in my 93 center console. I am basically copying the R50 Pathfinder center console slightly. Uses OEM hardware to mount. 94 models have a new interior compared to 86.5-93 model W/D21s.

Materials needed: 16 and 11 gauge steel. 6x1 mm nuts and Nissan bolts.

This is the stock center console with no cup holders. 96 was the first year of cup holders in a decent place. 94 put them in the lid.

Started building a steel box for switchs. Then added some tube for Cup holders.

The cup holders are made from Nissan D21 rear two piece driveshaft. I converted to one piece from a Frontier.

The fuse block and access plate bolts to the switch box using Nissan bolts.

I use a 30amp circuit breaker connected at the battery to feed the fuse panel. All 15amp fuses.

This is my wiring schematic for winch controls and lights.

I added a 300zx leather boot I found one ebay. $7 new. Fits perfect.

Added 2 12 volt outlets in the arm rest base.

Had to modify the base for the pathfinder parking brake cable I added for the rear disc conversion.
