Spark plug replacement on VG motors Rear wheel drive or 4wd only - VG30 and VG33

This is how I changed my spark plugs on VG motors. The VG30e has a 6th plug that is hard to see on rear wheel drive vehicles. On My old 89 Maxima and 94 Quest it is easier.

Tools needed. Spark plug socket, ratchet, 2 6" extensions and a swivel joint. All 3/8 drive. Antisieze is good to use to prevent the plugs from getting seized..

Cylinders 1-5 are super easy with a long 12" extension with a socket stuck to the end. These are about $5 at the local parts store. VG33ER (supercharged) are not so easy I hear.

Cylinder 6 is best accessed via the lower setup.

Remove the plug wire and you will see a dent in the firewall. If you look through the #5 hole on the upper plenum. You can see the top of the plug.

Another way is a flex head ratchet and plain 6" extension.

Hope this helps.
